COMMBUS is run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely to make our customers’ lives more independent. We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to put something back into the community, whether it’s as a driver or escort for the buses, or as an office co-ordinator to answer enquiries and take bookings. If you think that you would be able to help by giving your time as a COMMBUS volunteer, please get in touch with us even if you can spare just a few hours.
Please call 0116 286 6116 for details. In-house training is provided for all positions.
Fundraising
COMMBUS receives some grant assistance from Leicestershire County Council as part of their support of community transport schemes. Blaby District Council also supports COMMBUS by providing vehicle maintenance at cost. COMMBUS is a ‘local good cause’ on the LoveBlaby local lottery, which raises a small amount of regular income.

Narborough Parish Council also support COMMBUS. We acknowledge and appreciate the financial and other support which we receive from the local authorities. Apart from these, and the funds raised through the subsidised fares which we charge to our passengers. COMMBUS does not have any other sources of income.
COMMBUS has from time to time received donations from other local organisations, companies, clubs and individuals, and has benefitted from fund-raising events. We always appreciate this help, which goes directly towards our operational costs. If you have any fund-raising ideas of your own, or are taking part in a fund-raising event, and would like to help to raise funds for COMMBUS, please get in touch with us on 0116 286 6116 or at commbus5863@gmail.com – we would be pleased to hear from you and can help with promotional material and volunteers!
